The Fintech Law seeks to create a regulatory framework aimed at innovative and digital financial services, increase competition and financial inclusion, and place Mexico at the forefront of the industry. The Fintech Law contemplates two types of financial technology institutions and an innovative model:
- crowdfunding institutions;
- electronic money institutions (EMI)
- the innovative model.
A foreigner with investments in Fintech who is considering doing business in Mexico must be aware of all the requirements of the Fintech Law.
